The Aqua facial goes further, it works through a full ten-step sequence that combines mechanical exfoliation, an oxygen-based hydration step and a proper cool-down finish. It sits between our lighter Deluxe facial and our most thorough option, the Ultimate facial, giving you a genuine mid-depth treatment without committing to the longest session on the menu.
What Is the Aqua Facial?
The Aqua Facial is particularly effective for men dealing with congested pores and blackheads, uneven or dull skin tone, persistently dehydrated skin from frequent shaving, or men who have tried standard facials without seeing meaningful results.
It is suitable for all skin tones and skin types. There are no restrictions based on Fitzpatrick skin type, making it fully accessible to men of South Asian, Middle Eastern, and African-Caribbean heritage at our Bradford and Oldham clinics.
What’s Included in the Aqua Facial?
The Aqua facial follows a fixed ten-step process. Every session includes the same steps in the same order, so results stay consistent from one visit to the next.
Preparation
- The Steamer – warm steam opens the pores and softens the skin, making the following steps more effective.
- Face Cleanse – a thorough cleanse removes surface oil, dirt and product build-up before any deeper work begins.
- Warm Dermabrasion – a gentle, warmed mechanical exfoliation pass that lifts dead skin cells and softens rough texture.
- Diamond Dermabrasion – a finer diamond-tipped exfoliation step that targets more stubborn texture and dull patches without cutting or breaking the skin.
- Scraper – a manual scraping step used to clear out debris and congestion that steaming and dermabrasion have loosened, particularly around the nose and chin.
Hydration
- Oxygen Infusion – an oxygen-based infusion step that pushes hydrating serum into the skin’s surface, aimed at giving a brighter, plumper finish.
- Hydration Therapy – a further hydrating treatment layer to replenish moisture lost during the exfoliation steps.
Finishing
- Hot Towel – used to relax the skin and remove any remaining product residue.
- Cold Press – a cooling step that calms the skin and closes the pores after the warmer steps.
- Moisturiser – a final moisturiser locks in hydration and leaves the skin comfortable to go straight back out afterwards.
Together, these steps are what give the Aqua facial its depth. The dermabrasion stages (steps 3 to 5) are the main difference from a basic cleanse-only facial, they are mechanical exfoliation techniques, not clinical or medical procedures, and are performed as a modest, comfortable part of a cosmetic treatment rather than anything more invasive.

The Aqua facial takes around 1 hour from start to finish. The current price is £70.00 per session, reduced from £90.

Who Is the Aqua Facial For?

What Happens Before Your Aqua Facial?
Facials at Alpha Laser Clinic do not require a separate pre-booked consultation, that only applies to laser hair removal. For the Aqua facial, your practitioner will assess your skin at the start of the appointment itself, checking for anything that might affect the treatment, before working through the ten steps. There is no patch test for facials, since this treatment does not carry the same skin-reaction risk as laser hair removal.
If you have any known skin conditions, recent sunburn, active breakouts, or are using strong prescription skincare, it is worth mentioning this when you book so the practitioner can plan the appointment properly.
Aftercare After Your Aqua Facial
The dermabrasion and exfoliation steps mean your skin will be more freshly exposed than usual straight after treatment, so a bit of care in the following day or two helps you get the most out of it:
- Keep skin protected with SPF if you are heading outside, particularly in the first 48 hours.
- Avoid strong active skincare, such as retinoids or acid-based exfoliants, for a day or two after your session.
- Stick to a gentle cleanser and moisturiser at home while the skin settles.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms or heavy sweating sessions on the day of treatment itself.
